You can permanently delete your CodexFan account and the personal data linked to it at any time.
Deleting inside the app (recommended)
- Open the Profile tab and go to Settings.
- In the Account section, tap "Delete Account".
- Once you confirm, your account is deactivated immediately.
Before deleting, you can download a copy of your data from the privacy settings.
Data that is deleted
- Your profile, photo and profile details
- Your library, reading positions and offline downloads
- Your comments, reviews, quotes and posts
- Your memberships in rooms and clubs, and your messages
- Your challenge progress, points and event registrations
- Device records and push-notification tokens
If you are an author
Your published works and chapters are taken down, and the identity and payout data in the sealed vault is erased, except for records that tax and accounting law require us to keep for author statements.
If you cannot access the app
Send an email titled "Account Deletion" from your registered email address to [e-mail]. After identity verification, your request is completed within 30 days at the latest and you are notified.
Records we must keep
Transaction records that tax and consumer law require us to retain (for example purchase records) are kept only for that purpose and for the statutory period. Copies in backups are purged on rotation within 90 days at the latest.
