These terms govern the artificial intelligence (AI) assisted features in CodexFan and form part of our Terms of Use.
Where AI is used
CodexFan uses AI only as an assistant around the books, never in place of the author:
- Safety and moderation: filtering spam, abuse and inappropriate images in comments, posts, rooms and live events, so that reports reach our moderators faster.
- Voice notes: turning a voice note into text when you ask for it.
- Suggestions: pointing you to books, authors, clubs and events you may like.
The books stay the authors' own
The books, chapters, posts and comments published on CodexFan are not used to train AI models, and AI is never used to write or publish in an author's name.
Nature of AI output and human oversight
AI output is probabilistic and can be inaccurate or incomplete. Decisions that restrict an account or remove content are reviewed by a person, and you can always ask for human review.
Third-party providers
Some AI processing runs through the enterprise services of third-party providers under terms that do not allow them to keep your data or train on it.
Liability
AI features are provided "as is"; their accuracy and uninterrupted operation are not guaranteed. These terms may be updated from time to time.
