CodexFan believes that reading and the community around books should be open to everyone. We build our products targeting WCAG 2.2 level AA, with regard to the European Accessibility Act (EAA, 2019/882) and applicable national legislation.
In the mobile apps
- Screen reader support (VoiceOver / TalkBack) with labelled controls
- Dynamic type, so chapter text and the interface follow your text-size setting
- Light and dark themes with sufficient contrast, and states that do not rely on colour alone
- Respect for the reduced-motion preference
- Minimum touch-target sizes
On the website
- Light and dark themes that follow the system preference
- Keyboard navigation with visible focus outlines
- Semantic headings, text alternatives and ARIA labels
- Animations switched off when reduced motion is preferred
Known limitations
Book covers and images uploaded by authors may lack text descriptions, and some third-party content may not be fully accessible. We keep improving these areas.
